Oh, and

I added my Twitter feed into my sidebar too. It’s great hanging around with Dan, I absorb the social networking trend by osmosis. My philosophy for success in all things web 2.0 is….wait for it….

“Do as Dan does”

Justin’s very mysterious blog

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

How have I been missing this? Go to Justin’s blog, he’s prolific in this Age Of My Friend’s Dying Blogs and he pumping out good stuff on current events, politics and religion — my favorite subjects!

I’d like to point out that themysteriousblog.com was my idea. You’re welcome Justin.

I’ll bet though, that my blog gets more hits than yours now. Hah! Revenge is slow but sweet.

Let’s play the glad game #1: Mama’s blog

Friday, January 30th, 2009

I’ve decided that since it takes nearly no time at all to make short posts, I’m going to try to post more often to siphon off some of the immense pressure that builds up whenever I don’t update. I’m going to try this for awhile and if it interferes too much with the image I try to give off of the reclusive-genius-who-waxes-not-prolific-but-every-post-is-worth-the-wait then I’ll go back to my old post-every-two-weeks policy. So, Lord bless this.

I’m kicking off with thankfulness posts from last year. There was a lot to be thankful for from 2008 and so in no particular order, I’m going to share them with you. This one is an exception though, as it’s the one thing that I’m most truly thankful for, and that is Mama’s blog. She makes blogging cool. I love, love, love the book summaries up there — if you haven’t read “Empire of Debt”, go read it. It reads like a novel, plus you’re smarter at the end of it. Thank you everyone who had a hand in the convincing her to start that site, it’s one of my life’s deep and abiding joys.

Attention Haven!

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

I break from my tastefully spaced apart posting policy to issue this warning to Haven.

This is how it all starts. The blogging experience starts to get a little boring for you, you try to spice things up by changing the skin, that doesn’t work so you post a few pictures but still, you’re just plain bored with it. Then you decide to walk away for a little bit and come back when the inspiration strikes. But strike it does not and then you keep up this dastardly cycle of not updating and then you start wondering why you even have a blog and then guess what? Out of nowhere a post appears telling me “Well guys, it’s been fun” but that you’re not blogging anymore.

It’s these little foxes of never updating that eat away at what you’ve taken so long to build and Haven, you must fight it. No one ever said blogging was easy but I know that if you just keep going, if you just push past this hump, things will change and you’ll have a renewed vision for updating. You can’t stop, Haven. If you stop updating you’ll be the 3rd to stop in a group of only 6 that make the hobby of blogging cool (for me at least), that means that if you stop blogging then it’ll be 50% less cool for me to keep doing it. We’re coming down to the wire here and you can’t sit on the fence any longer, you need to make a decision. I challenge you to stand up, to push past the obstacles that stand in your way and give us an update. I’m proud to be standing here beside you in the blogosphere and I know you’ll make the right decision.

How do I know? Because you’re a fighter, that’s why!

Stop blogging!

It’s the hottest thing going!

I know Justin’s still blogging but its not the same as ye ol’ Hobbyns.net and I needed four dead sites.
