Ah, that would be my lovely son — the eater of pink play dough, who made you miss her birthday! Happy new year, Julia. I can’t believe you are 22. The words to “sunrise, sunset” spring to mind. Seems like just yesterday you were this twiggy little… um. 9 year old? How the world has changed. Love ya and miss you.
Arrgh I missed Jules’ birthday and spent it chasing children and making them spit pink Playdough out of their mouths instead of reveling with her in her day of glory. But the next time I see her, I will do my level best.
