Heh, I always had the same unconscious dilemma of it’s. Because even though you learn the rule, what throws you off is every other possessive ’s’ uses the apostrophe! ie. Lady ‘Mergatroid’s’ carriage, my ‘cat’s’ best friend, ‘Jules” awesomeness and so on and so forth… therefore ‘its’ is a nasty rule exception. Grrr to the English language and it’s exceptions.

I was planning on commenting before I read your last paragraph.
I just wanna’ say (in my own very not-witty and very corny way), that I think you’re one of the best writers that I know. You can make almost anything sound entertaining, which I greatly appreciate at the end of a long day. I don’t get much opportunity these days to check blogs, but I’m glad I checked yours tonight. It’s awesome that you’re taking that huge step across the world (though I have absolutely no idea what we’re going to do w/o you. We will have to survive. Maybe it will be another year of strengthening for me.) But you’re following the Lord, which is the safest place to be.

P.S. If it makes you feel any better, they don’t card me all that often either.

I have to comment on this one (and add that I also loved the home council post..
About continent-shift: Hurrah! (for us)
And about not being carded, don’t take it too hard; my older sis still gets carded, and grumps at me that I don’t…so you’re in good company
I hope other tall people respond, so that you can get that record thingy sorted out…
