Precious moments & other stuff
Precious moments: Last night around 11:45 a pipe in our bathroom burst and flooded the upstairs of our house. There was three inches of water on the floor before we managed to turn off the water main. It was fun clearing it all up and being half a sleep….well at least the kids had fun. Once the flood had subsided we celebrated with beer and cider and announced it as having been an offical home bonding activtiy. We plan to do another one sometime soon, this time for the downstairs.
Other stuff: A bass guitar has taken up residents in my room. Someone who is on his way to Chile from SA has lent it to Michelle who asked me if she can keep it in my room…so why not? I may pretend to play it one day when I’m sure no one is looking.
I painted weird swirls and designs on my bedroom door in the only color of paint we had - purple.

oh fun fun, a burst pipe
hey, we didn’t get to drink beer when our house sprung a leak that carried on for about two weeks before the plummers finally got to it at which point after much chipping and banging and drilling they managed to make it about three times worse and then packed up and left for the weekend, only to return and marvel at our truly spectacular plumming problem, and then put off the repairs for another four or five days
I think beer would have been most welcomed by all the dirty and frustrated home members who were having to make trips over to the other house every time they wanted to shower
next time we’ll come and visit you!
