My first digital painting January 20, 2008
Imagery , trackbackI was following a tutorial on skin painting but the guy just ended up looking way too effeminate to be cool so I thinned out the neck and made it a girl. I made the mistake of starting out with way smaller resolution then I should have so I couldn’t do much detail on it. Now that it’s done I can do something way cooler (hopefully) with lots of detail.
About 7 hours with Photoshop CS3 and DigiPro tablet.

That is a great painting if it is the first digital painting! Keep them coming.
Nice stuff Jules… Nice to see the result after seeing you sweat over that tablet on a Saturday night. Keep em coming.
yeah Jules is getting back into art.
You have such talent…so don’t let work bury it!!!
Wow, you did a really good job. I would say though the perspective is a little off between the head and neck.
And this is what you wasted time that could have been spent with me Jules? To think, my seduction was given second place to a random piece of digital creation. Perhaps the time has come for me to change my approach to our relationship.
Yes Andy, but the rejection just makes you want me more.
Heh. Andy, don’t ruin the art!
Love this, Jules. Gonna go show Linda now. And ignore the perspective comment–it’s obviously a manga-style drawing. Miss you, girl!
I’m highly impressed; in fact, I’m also highly envious. Oh Julia, what can’t you do?
Wow, not bad for a first try! I’d like to see what it looks like after a couple months of practice.
If I can stick with it for that long…
Gosh darnit, some people get all the talent in our family…..
i like this picture, genuinely. I love you Jules you have a beautiful soul. Don’t take that the wrong way now.
Hey that’s a great piece of art–love it!
