What’s this world coming to?

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

I was researching something for something and I stumbled upon this

Yep, Chicken Soup for the American Idols soul.

What will they think up next?

I’m waiting for Chicken Soup for the ex-Buddhist soul to fill me with warm and fuzzy feelings as I sit in front of my fire screen saver and sip ice water.

My site got spammed

oh dear oh dear oh dear….

WeEEP!!!

(The Real Jules Speaking: I figure if someone went through all the hard work of painstakingly hacking into my site they at least deserve to have their work stay put. I just wish they hadn’t have deleted my planet post, that was some of my finest work. I didn’t think I was cool enough to have someone want to hack into my blog but apparently I am so yay me! And whoever you are who did it, don’t tell me it was easy, let me keep thinking it took you hours of heartbreaking work because it meant that much to you. Don’t rain on my parade!)

Not with My Gun

Untitled-1.jpg

A friend of ours invited us to see this play, it was well done I thought and I enjoyed it. Lots of emotions during the course of the evening. Mad, sad, glad etc. Anthony Coleman, who was in Blood Diamond, played the token white man. :)

Afterwards Angela and Janet saw him as we we’re walking black to the car, they talked to him for a bit and gave him a tract, yay! (end of small testimony)

Note 2 self: Must now watch Blood Diamond.

P.S. I really want/need a Mate straw. So if you have one that you no longer need or know where to get one, please let me know and I will be mostly grateful.

Stars and farms in Florida

Sunday, November 18th, 2007

It’s possible that only the original Harem will understand this post.

Remember when “five star” was the thing to say?

As in, “those Miami boys from the Dark Farm are so five star! (followed by a contrastingly bitter tirade about how they stole all our people)”

I recall us having that conversation a lot, back in the day. That was totally the conversation to have. Yup, we used to talk about that one a lot.

I’m thinking to revive “five star”. I’ll need help though, because none of my projected trends ever take off. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t frustrating.

Hints

One knows one’s style needs to be taken back to the drawing board when in the space of one day, one gets called “sir” three times while and overhears a voice saying “Mommy, that man is so tall”.

I guess my feminine carriage and womanly allure isn’t as feminine or womanly as I perceived it to be.

Dang.

I have baked a cake(s)!

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

I promised the Lord that I would serve Him for the rest of my life if nothing horrible happened to my cakes and yay, nothing did. The weather that day even acted as a natural refrigerator. Praise His name!

I had so much fun I’m considering becoming a French baker in my next life. Well, it’s still a toss-up between that or a Bollywood film star.
