If you’re caught by surprise by the Enemy, do whatever you need to do to get the victory. Look around you and grab the first pointy object you see, and start swinging away. Raise your hands, praise the Lord, sing songs, receive new key promises, quote John 3:16, or just yell “Jesus!” over and over until the Enemy is lying in front of you in a giant heap of arms, legs, and pointy tails. Keep swinging away, and don’t stop until you’re sure you’ve gotten the victory!

It’s a revelation that I’ve had too many times to count and always ends up with me pounding my forehead with both fists and shouting something to the effect of “Jules, you are retarded!”
If I could only consistently remember: The Enemy is defeated once you start fighting.
