Interesting, isn’t it? February 19, 2007

How seeing a display of a lack of conviction can lead you to more having more conviction yourself? That human nature of ours…..

I gotta figure out how to get more of a witness on this site. I forget sometimes that the this blog is not just available to Family members. But even if most of the traffic is from Family, as per Shooting Straight 18 my blog should be: “[A] source of reaching out to one another and encouraging each other in the faith. It provides moral support and positive peer influence to those who view it.” I dunno, as faith-building as I’m sure it is to hear about things like my take on Uncle Jim and co., my happy place and the picture I keep on my wall, I somehow feel like I could be doing more to consistently live up to the standard put forth in SS 18.

I ’spose I could post quotes that speak to me more often, but I’d like something a little more original. Not that the word isn’t original, I just need want a more original way to get it out there. Random Quote plugin is always an option, less labor intensive too. I could also post more personal stuff, battles, victories, “what I learned today” etc. It would no doubt do wonders for keeping a leash on my pride, since posting real personal stuff is not easy for me, so that’s another option.

Any other ideas? Trying to think of something unique and effective here….

Okay! Here’s something ORIGINAL for you:

Take a video clip of yourself with your bestest bunny big word smile on and say the prayer of salvation with all who come to your blog. - not only will you be being a BIG WITNESS, but you can also add these to your personal witness stats and show the home just what a great witness you’re being when you’re posting on your blog rather than standing at the dishline (where you are elbow deep in dirty dish water).

Adding one of those cool buttons for prayed the prayer that are included on some GP sites is cool too, especially if you get all your friends in on it too. “Are you sure you said the prayer before? Well saying it again couldn’t hurt you.”

Have fun! And hope you get lots of other cool, original ideas. I for one, will be looking forward to these only too eagerly so I can add a witness to my blog as well and count it toward my witnessing hours.

(Less time at that dirty dishwater. - Hee!)

Ha! That certainly would be a first…..I’ll give it some thought! Thanks for the suggestion!

Cyber-FFing? Could work.

Jules, we are kindred spirits, you and I.
I posted about a similar thing just yesterday; only before coming here and reading this.

Hey Jules, posting word that spoke to you or personal lessons would be inspiring and encouraging. I really like reading all your thoughts on things. I feel like we’re on the same wavelength and I get what you’re talking about (can’t say that for all my friends blogs) so hearing about any personal stuff would be cool…and I’m sure great for your pride :)
looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Cyber-FFing! - certainly potential! Although I see it being a lot more effective coming from someone else’s blog; perhaps someone with more of that raw sexual appeal that, uh….isn’t so much my thing. The Yamaguchi twins come to mind though :) - whaddya say guys? Anything for a soul, right?

Sonia, I always knew we were soulmates! And thanks Anita, for the encouragement, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to think my wee little thoughts are fun to read!

Just speak from the soul, don’t copy and paste someone elses words, thats my little sug. It’s so much more real and heart felt that way.

You always going on about “raw sexual appeal”… lol

I love your humor Jules
