The Latest , trackbackSo here’s what’s been crackin’.
A lot of cooking on my part, the results of which I’m sure you’ve already seen on Angel’s blog. I’ve spent three days out of last week in the kitchen and having lots of fun. The gastronomical effort doesn’t really fit in with the whole eccentric, reclusive genius thing that I manage to pull off so well most of the time, but hey, gotta break from the norm now and then; its healthy and we’re nothing if not new bottles right?
The Big Christmas Party is always lots of fun; its when our teamwork effort really shines and everyone is bonded through the fact that we all probably haven’t showered in the three days leading up to D-day (boy, if I’m the only one that did that, that’ll be really embarrasing). Everyone cleans up real well too, and I got into some pretty nifty witnessing which is always fun.
Dear family and friends, please consider the following your Christmas card. I’m sure you’ll like it just as well as if I’d photoshopped a pretty little border and wrote on the bottom something to the effect of “Wishing you and yours a marvelous, joyus Christmas filled with the wonder and magic of the season and the happiness and joy of family and friends during this enchanting and glorious time from all of us here”. You know I really do wish you all those things and more and that l love you!
Oh, and the second photo is for Linda P. You’re welcome

Jules…now that is just the sweetest thing! I am touched! Thank you! You’re wonderful and it makes me miss you all the more. *sob* Three days of cooking, whew, but what a spread. Fun! You’re loved!
Hi Jules, this is Joy of Andrew…I knew you forever ago, in the La Habra Heights (Sizzlers) home. Since it’s like, 10 years or so later, I don’t know if you’ll remember me, but I saw your pictures and wanted to send my love to you and your beautiful family. I remember them all fondly. Please tell your parents I said so.
Looks like you pulled it off again! Love the “card.” Merry Christmas!
Don’t take this the wrong way… but I love the dresses you wear. Always such a low cleavage… and the purple suits you…
That is a sincere compliment!
Hi Joy! Of course I remember Joy Rose, you were always so much fun to hang around. I admire people who treat eight-year olds like real people
Say hi to your beautiful family for me as well.
And thank you Luca, you look great in purple yourself. I’m a big fan of that fuchsia tie of yours.
Joy!! Hi this is Steph, remember me?? Merry Christmas! I always had good memories from when you lived with us.
P.S. Jules don’t be lazy! You’d better send me a real card.
oh those glorious days.
Joy Rose if you don’t remember me, i was the clas brat.
Julz and Steph, hush!! no stories this time. save them for the Sizzlers 20 year reunion. i figure by then i’ll be mature enough to handle the truth.
ha…I think I have a story or two I could contribute from the old Sizzlers days….:P
You look GREAT in the pics Jules…so pretty
Of course I remember you, Steph! I have a lovely picture of you and Jules and me and Andrew from our wedding. You were both shorter than me then…
Anita, you were never the class brat…at least not then
And Niki, if you start telling stories from those days I might have to pull out my old pictures… Marshmellus Erectus…
So beautiful! I miss those Christmas parties, sob! xxx
Merry Christmas Julz and family! Love you ever so much and miss you more. Say hi to your mom and dad for me will ya? xoxox
Dear Joy! I love you! I got to see Andrew when he passed through here. It was fun to hear of your kids, where you live, etc. I have some fun memories of Sizzlers too…like the house next door burning down, the car crashing into the yard upside down with 2 children (one a baby) inside, the cat falling through the ceiling onto my bed in the basement in the middle of the night, watching the Waco compound burn on TV, playing Boggle outside in the trailer and laughing so loud we were told to be quiet…BUT…there’s our memories of the Mullinix house–the tree house, building rooms in the basement, the men putting a new roof on the house, snow fun, bunnies, finches, Mancho, clowning, walks in the woods, the pond, mowing, mowing and mowing some more. Oh fun! Memories are like taking a spirit trip. That was fun. I send tons of love, hugs and prayers your way! Linda (Promise)
Yes, been fun to see the Christmas “spread” and remember those fun parties. Love you, Jules and miss you. Hope it’s a good new year too. You deserve it!

A baby inside a flipped car??!! Whoa..that’s a memory I’d like to forget.and FAST!
Yeah, but PTL, the kids and baby were all fine.
…and the fun part was that the brother who saved the kids got an award and much praise for his heroism!
nick is your brother? ho groovy….. i met him at blast and thought it was awesome that a 15 yr old was that tall! totaly awesome, its so great when guys are taller than me for a change….your blog is super cool by the way.
hahaha my brother is a “mad italian”??? luca….what kind of impression did you make?
Maybe in Europe he’s considered normal……:)

Tory and Jules, wow, I’m reliving that night with you guys in heaven. You both look too gorgeous! muah! love you!
Hey Jules, I’m more than a little late, but I just saw this and wanted to say you guys look awsome. Tell your mom she’s great as a blonde, and you are so gorgeous esp. with your hair grown out (since the last time I saw you when you told me you were trying to be more feminine.)
–and what’s this about a flipped car? How come no one ever told me that story? I used to be around way back.
Anita, I know, I’m a horrible horrible friend for not writing you back when you wrote me a couple weeks ago. I might see you soon, maybe, hopefully, and I’ll tell you all about the flipped car.
